Pantry Collection Guide

The Ark Food Pantry, with two locations in Chicago and Northbrook, provides nutritious, kosher food, household products, and personal care items to help our community.

Help us stock the pantry

As prices for groceries and home goods rise, The Ark continues to provide clients with much-needed food, toiletries, paper goods, and specialty items. We depend on our community to help us keep the pantry fully stocked.

Launch a pantry collection drive now!

Suggestions for launching a collection drive:

Current top 5 most needed items: Rice; Green Giant Peas, Corn, and Green Beans; Pasta; Quinoa; and Peanut Butter. Email us for additional items that are needed the most.

Share the suggested collection list of general needs in the pantry, available to download and take to the grocery when shopping.

Invite a staff member from The Ark to speak with your community or group about the services and programs offered by The Ark (age-appropriate programs offered for pre-K through adults).

Create some friendly competition between various clubs, groups, neighbors, or between classrooms to see who can bring in the most of a certain item for your collection drive. Use social media, email and texts to spread the word.

On your next grocery run, pick up extra items for The Ark.

What we take: food that is kosher, non-perishable, and has not expired, unused personal hygiene items, and household cleaning supplies. We are unable to accept clothing, furniture, or household appliances at this time.
