Health Clinics and Pharmacy

Personalized Solutions for Community Health

The Ark’s medical facilities provide free, high-quality, and comprehensive care.

Goldie Bachmann Luftig Health Center

The Ark has never wavered from its original commitment to provide free medical care to the poor. For the thousands of Jews in Chicagoland who subsist at or below the poverty line, costly health insurance is out of their reach. Each person who comes to our clinic receives the highest quality health care possible at no charge.

The Health Center provides essential medical, dental, and psychiatric services to clients through the expertise of staff and volunteer doctors.

Medical Services

More than 300 patients receive treatment in the dental clinic each year, served by staff and volunteer dentists. The clinic includes three fully equipped modern dental stations.

The Ark’s Pharmacy is a fully licensed facility with two pharmacists who fill thousands of prescriptions a year for patients in The Ark’s clinics and mental health programs, as well as those who cannot afford the medications prescribed for them by physicians outside The Ark.

The Eye Clinic provides complete vision exams, diagnoses and treatment for eye conditions, prescriptions, and fitting of eyeglasses.
