The Ark is Hiring: Data Analyst

For over 50 years, The Ark has been the only organization to provide free, comprehensive human services to Chicagoland’s large and diverse Jewish community. Reporting to the Data and Evaluation Manager, The Ark welcomes the right candidate to help lead our data-driven culture and use of appropriate suite of data management software. Interested? General Responsibilities and Goals:

  • Implement internal customer service to all staff, delivering continuous staff support and training as needed 
  • Conduct daily database maintenance system-wide to continuously recognize and adjust standard practices, accounting for necessary data entry changes 
  • Reporting, collaboration, and analysis including, but not limited to, identifying/preparing dashboards, trends, and activity/impact report with consistent updates 
  • Development and implementation of various explanation manuals, schedules, and protocols 
  • Ensure staff has current systems access manual with ability to apply appropriately 
  • Inventory schedule/explanation of standard reports available to staff 
  • Protocols and training in place for staff to generate reports and access data 
  • Administer surveys according to industry standards, analyze data, and make available to stakeholders 
  • Accessible for all questions/concerns regarding data 

Requirements and Skills:

  • Advanced Excel skills (vlookup, array formulas, pivot tables, etc.) 
  • Minimum of 2 years working experience with CRM on back end (Salesforce knowledge preferred) 
  • Effective communicator and able to work with diverse team members having varying degrees of technology comfort 
  • Proficient in being able to triage and prioritize projects independently in fast-paced environment 
  • Engage in ongoing educational/collaborative activities for CQI; share knowledge /information with relevant team members 
  • Exceptional aptitude for detail, organization and prioritization, and meeting high-pressure deadlines with accuracy
