In honor of my Bat Mitzvah, I am excited to take on a chesed project to help The Ark raise money for our community. The Ark is an organization that opens its doors to all Chicagoland Jews on their journey to self-reliance. For more than 50 years, The Ark has been providing vital human services to more than 5,000 clients per year. From medical and dental, to housing and pantry services, The Ark’s case workers, staff, and volunteers help clients navigate their daily living needs.
This organization is meaningful to me because my mother’s family benefited from The Ark when they moved to Chicago from Ukraine in the early 1990s. I’ve been lucky enough to volunteer in The Ark Pantry several times over the last few years. I really enjoyed sorting essential home goods for individuals who may not have access on their own. Please join me in The Ark’s important mission by helping community members who need our support more than ever.
