Join the Handmaker family for a special event honoring the completion of Steven’s service as President of The Ark’s Board of Directors.
A brunch reception will begin at 11:00 a.m., with brief remarks from Steven and Marna Goldwin, The Ark’s CEO. Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to tour The Ark’s beautiful new building and engage in hands-on volunteer projects that will be fun for children and adults alike.
To commemorate Steven’s service to The Ark, the Handmakers will also be making a special dedication to the Cafe Ark Program–which provides warm meals, arts programming, and companionship to hundreds of Ark clients each month–in honor of Steven’s grandparents, Beatrice Grossman and Hyman Willens, who lived on California Avenue just a few blocks north of The Ark in West Rogers Park.
